Dear Members, Friends and Patrons, Happy New Year 2017!
The holiday season is over and we are now looking forward on our upcoming events through May 2017.
The Board members have scheduled several events in the upcoming events: Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, Spring Ball, Easter, Polish Constitution Day. As in years past we have hosted “Polka Weekends” with popular out-of-state bands and this year we will host the Steve Drzewicki Band from Michigan. Also, Dennis and Rose Pachura will be putting together three fundraisers; we have several big cost repairs that need to be considered in the next year or two (the roof and the air conditioning units).
The Pulaski Club mission statement says that we have “. . . a legacy of 1000 years of Christian culture, art, literature and music. This treasure trove is ours to use wisely, display proudly and share generously. . .” which may seem outdated but it is more important now than ever before. We have a responsibility to our friends, children and generations to come that they understand the rich history we are a part of. In order to for us to accomplish this it will be important that each and every member take part in being part of the success of each and every event held at the club; either by volunteering, participating or attending these events. It is vital that we make each event a financial success; future events are dependent on the success of the previous event … the domino effect of working at a loss will undo the success of the previous 75 years of our existence.
Please consider being an ACTIVE member of this club and be a part of each event this year … feel free to discuss with Mrs. Halina Kosinski if you are interested in helping in the kitchen, discuss with Mrs. Mary Kiselus or myself about setting up and participating in our upcoming events. Some events take only one or two evenings to prepare although some events may take up to 9-10 evenings to prepare but everything depends on how many volunteers come. For example, it took 100 man hours to prepare for Christmas / New Years celebrations and most evenings only 2 or 3 people came and we worked until midnight because we knew things had to be done in time.
Let’s make 2017 our most successful year … I look forward to seeing each member at our upcoming events.

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!
We ended 2016 with a festive New Year’s Eve celebration. Great turn out and we received many compliments on holding this special event. Thank you to all officers and members helping with preparations for this special day.
As we start the New Year we welcome the new members sworn in at our last membership meeting in November and I am looking forward to accepting many new members in 2017.
Hope to see you all at our upcoming events. Our next membership meeting is January 15th, please attend the meeting and get involved.
2nd VICE PRESIDENT – Halina Kosinski
As we reflect on the year 2016, I want to thank everyone who helped in the club’s kitchen on different occasions throughout the past year. Your help is greatly appreciated and invaluable to the club and to me. A big Thank You goes to Rose Offerman, who takes on the responsibility of preparing and serving a whole meal, several times per year, which gives me an occasional day off.
Our new schedule starts with a membership meeting followed by a dance to Sam Pecorilla’s band on January 15. Dinner will consist of a pork chop, potatoes and hot vegetable. The following weekend January 21st and 22nd we have the Steve Drzewicki Band from Michigan. We will be serving traditional Polish dinners: Pierogis on Saturday and Golabki (stuffed cabbage) on Sunday. Please continue to support all our events so that our club will remain an active part of our community. I wish all of you a Very Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year 2017.
FINANCIAL SECRETARY Dennis Pachura

SUNSHINE COMMITTEE – Shirley Sztuk A sympathy card was sent to Pat Jayo and family on the loss of husband, Bob Jayo. He served on the board of directors, help bartend, and was a musician performing in several bands at the Pulaski Club.
Please inform Shirley if she needs to send out a thoughtful card to a member, it is always nice to receive these special thoughts from the club.
***Special Note*** Thank you to the Pulaski Club for the beautiful plant and card. Our family appreciates all those who attended the cemetery service and “celebration of life” for Bob. (From Pat and family).
