Dear Members, Friends and Patrons
Since returning from our summer break, we
had a couple of busy months at the club starting
with our membership meeting on September
15th. It was encouraging to see a better than
usual membership turnout at the September
meeting. I hope we can continue with good
member attendance during our future meetings.
The executive committee makes an effort in
holding our meetings, please join us and participate
and get involved. We value your input,
opinion, and any help with our projects, functions
and club operations is always welcome
and greatly appreciated.On October 5
th we hosted a Polonia dance with a first time at our club band from San Diego, California “NASZA MUZYKA”. It was a fun and enjoyable event as well as profitable for the club. Special thanks to our 1
st Vice President, Sylwia Martynowicz for making the arrangements for the band and all individuals who made this event a success. Our Pulaski Day event was enjoyed by all attendees although we were hoping for a better turnout. Thank you to our 2nd Vice President Celina Tomaszkowicz and all her kitchen help who prepared a great buffet dinner. Celina always needs help with food preparation for our events, so if you can give her a hand please let
her know. CASINO NIGHT on October 19
th was once again a success. Many thanks to Shane
Prosser who was at the helm of the Casino
Night committee and all individuals who helped
with set up for this enjoyable event. Thank you
so much to all our table sponsors who made this
event possible as well as all donations for the
prizes and baskets. As usual we appreciate the
donations and the support of all who attended
We have few more functions during the next
two months please attend the events and support
the club. Ladies please join us for
our Fashion Show on November 2
nd by “Chico’s”.
We need your support so please
bring your friends and neighbors and attend.
We will serve a delicious lunch and make it fun
for everyone.I hope to see you all at our next
membership meeting on November 10th. Please do your best to join us as we do have couple of offices
to fill as the term of the officers/directors are expiring at the end of December 2013.
Please refer to our schedule of events for November
and December and don’t forget our
Christmas dinner/dance on December 8th
when we will again serve a festive polish style
buffet dinner and share a wafer and enjoy the
music by the VARITONES .
As this is the last publication of our newsletter
for 2013, I would like to extend a sincere
to the Executive Committee for
their devoted hard work and support during
2013 and hope to continue our best efforts in
the best interest of the Pulaski Club for 2014.
Many thanks as well to all our members and
patrons for their support by attending our activities.

1st VICE PRESIDENT – Sylwia Martynowicz
I was helping out during one of our Polish
events at our club and this particular night we
had about 40 people (visitors) from San Diego.
All of them were saying
“how lucky we are to
have this club”.
They don’t know how much
time and work this place requires and how much
money is needed to operate and how many
volunteers we need to have it running smoothly.
Yes, because of all of you we are having a great
place where we can meet, eat, dance, have a
drink and share our problems and happiness
with each other. Thanks to all of you for any
help that is needed!
Wow … the time is passing so fast and we are
going to start the next Christmas season soon.
I’m so happy to see more Polish-American
people who want to belong to our club. Our
membership must keep growing to continue to
Last month we accepted into our Pulaski
society a new member, Margaret. She is a very
talented lady who immigrated to this country
about 10 years ago. Margaret will be teaching
our Christmas dinner classes! She will show
you how to prepare Polish desserts and cook a
traditional Polish Christmas dinner. What a joy
to have a member who wants to share her
talents with all of us. I’m already in the
Christmas spirit – I hope you are too!
We will have our Christmas dinner/dance on
Dec. 8th and I believe we will also sing some
traditional Christmas songs. That will be so
much fun for all of us.
I really hope to see you all soon!
2nd VICE PRESIDENT – Celina Tomaszkowicz
Thank you, once again to everyone who
assisted me in the kitchen during our events
upon returning to the club after our summer
break. Our Pulaski Day dinner was enjoyed by
all and I would like to thank Halina Kosinski,
Ludmila and John Soltys, Jean Jorgensen and
Mary Kiselus for their help in preparing and
serving the buffet dinner. Special thanks to
Bruno and Nela Klus, Sylwia Martynowicz and
our special helper from Seattle Washington Ania
who helped with kitchen duties at our Polonia
dance on October 5th which proved to be a
success. I can't forget Princess Bonczkiewicz
who always offers her help in the kitchen, thanks
Princess. Also Rose Offerman who cooked for
the Halloween Dance, thank you Rose.
Our next big dinner event is our
Christmas dinner on December 8th.
We will be serving a
buffet dinner with a variety of delicious Polish
style dishes and as always will include
PIEROGI. Anyone who would like to be
assisting on preparation of our meals please let
All help is greatly appreciated.

“NEWS AND NOTES”
The holiday season is upon us and the
club is in full swing. We have a few more polka
dances and a few club rentals too. Seems the
only way we’re staying afloat lately is with our
rentals. We had a poor showing at both polka
dances and Polonia events the last few months.
But once again thanks to those who did support
the club. With the kitchen remodel done and the
dance floor redone we can now move into the
New Year with high hopes that we can continue
our events with open arms and support of our
members and friends.
We are still looking for bartenders to help
at our events and rentals. Please see me if you
are interested and let’s look at the bartending
schedule. Don’t forget to try our signature drinks
the “Warsaw Mule” and the “Polish Sling”.
We have a few new bands for next year
and other events that I hope you will enjoy. See
you at our next event, CHEERS!!

nd Annual Pulaski Club Casino Night was a blast! We had a wonderful evening and there
were a lot of lucky winners of all the beautiful prize donations we received. I hope everyone had a great
night. I would like to give thanks to the volunteers of the event: Kaz, Chris, Yelly, Dennis, Rose, Mary, and
Princess. Also, many thanks to all the volunteers that helped to setup and maintain the event, sell tickets,
and helped with getting prizes and sponsorships. Without you I would not have been able to get everything
done in order. We had over 30 raffle prizes and baskets, and they were all big hits!! Thank you to all the
donors of those prizes, your donations made the end of the night a huge exciting success! Lastly, I would
like to thank the sponsors of the event. Your sponsorships made this possible. Your generousness in
sponsoring the event is received with gratitude and appreciation. Thank you everyone for believing in the
Pulaski Club’s mission to bring our community together for great social activities like this one!
Thank you all for your dedication and support,
