Dear Members, Friends and Patrons, I would like to begin with a sincere THANK YOU to all members, sponsors and guests who took part in a very special event in our club’s history our 75 th Anniversary Gala on October 4 th . For members who were not able to join us for the celebration, I am proud to say that we celebrated our special day in a great way. It started with cocktail hour and the cold table with an array of food. Our program began with our Country’s national anthem and Poland’s national anthem. We continued with distinguished guest introduction. Our dinner service by Sharkos was enjoyed by all as well as dinner music which included violin performance by the band leader Jadwiga Mika. After dinner we enjoyed the dance performances by dance group from Los Angeles, California “ The Krakusy”. The speaker for the event was Phoenix Councilman Mr. Michael Nowakowski. 1st VICE PRESIDENT – Sylwia Martynowicz Dear Members,
We are getting closer and closer to our next election. Now, is the time to act! I have been involved in the club for only three years, but it has been a very rewarding experience for me. I have been able to develop new relationships with people who really care about the club. Some of them helped financially to support the club, and some of them donated their time and skills to this club. We need both of these groups to survive. Now, it is my time to pass my position to someone else, I'm hoping we can choose a candidate who cans also a make a difference and have new ideas. Today, I would like YOU to think about our club’s future and make your inventories. You might think "I have done my part" or "I don't have time"- I had the same thoughts with twins, my 12 year old, and part time job - wasn't easy. Remember – there is someone responsible who loves this club as you and I do! So, will you be able to take over a 2 year commitment? Can you donate your time and skills to support this club? Can you commit to make a change? I believe you can!
FINANCIAL SECRETARY – Dennis Pachura

2nd VICE PRESIDENT – Celina Tomaszkowicz As my term of office of 2 nd Vice President comes to an end, I whole heartedly want to express my THANK YOU to all members (and even non-members ) who have assisted in the kitchen with any and all help with preparing the delicious meals that were served at our club events. I’m sure my successor will also have the cooperation needed at any time they are called upon. On Sunday November 16 th which is our membership meeting the kitchen committee will once again be serving a meal to be enjoyed by all. Then don’t forget on December 7 th the annual Christmas dinner buffet/dance will be held here at our club. RESERVATIONS ARE STRONGLY SUGGESTED. CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD “NEWS AND NOTES” David Bonczkiewicz
November and December will be busy months for the board of directors. We have a new storage shed to install courtesy of the Hungarian club so they can store their items for their upcoming rentals along with some of our kitchen items, thank you Jimmy. Check out the beautiful new Polonia pictures that are hung on the west wall, long overdue. With club elections coming up, hope to have some new faces and positions filled by some new motivated people and new ideas that they may bring with them. The Chicago Push dance is canceled for the month of December , but we have a replacement event in place to pick up the open date. (See activities column for details) Great job on the 75 th anniversary dinner and dance, I want to thank all the participating committees and members who donated their time to make this a successful and memorable event, great job by all! Next big project by the board of directors is the roof installation. This may cost us a bit but it needs to be done if we plan on extending our rentals thru the summer months. Our idea is to install insulation from the outside so we don’t cover up the red wood inside, we have a few recommendations, if you are interested in hearing our plan, show up at the meeting so you hear what is going on with the club, members do have input, if you don’t then I don’t need to hear your complaints. Once again as I said in the past we need to hire a club manager. I can’t do it all myself or my board of directors, we have a lot to do on a daily basis and we need someone here all the time to work out club issues. I will discuss this again at the next board meeting as to what needs to happen. Have a good day and we will see you Nov.16 th Election Day during our membership meeting.
