Dear Members, Friends and Patrons,
Let the countdown to a memorable year begin! HAPPY NEW YEAR 2015 TO ALL!
November and December events at the club were few, but and I am pleased to say they were well attended. Thank you to all members for attending our membership meeting on November 16 th when we elected new officers and directors for 2015 -2016. I welcome our newly elected officers and directors and extend a special thanks to all out going directors for their dedications and hard work during their term in office. We have a good team of members who volunteered for all positions. Let’s all take responsibility for our assigned duties and work together in the best interest of the Pulaski Club. As we all know it takes lot of effort and hard work to keep our club in good standing and running smoothly. Your new executive committee will need help from the membership. Please give us a hand and volunteer for the assigned committees which we will appoint at our next membership meeting. I would like to ask all our newly elected members of the executive committee to please attend our membership meeting on January 18 th at which time you will be sworn in for your prospective position.
The “ANDRZEJKI” event was once again a success and enjoyed by all in attendance, and many thanks and appreciation to everyone who helped out with preparations for this big night.
Our Christmas dinner was a success as well. WOW with 187 people in attendance and almost a full house we managed to provide all members and guests with a great meal and enjoyable afternoon. I sincerely thank everyone who donated their time and hard work to make this celebration of Christmas a success. To all volunteers who helped with the wonderful Christmas decorations, kitchen duties, bar and hall preparations – A job well done.
Our final event for 2014 will be held on December 31, our “NEW YEARS EVE” celebration. Once again there will be lot of hard work in preparation for this event. Please let our officers know if you can help.
2014 was another challenging year, but due to the great voluntary efforts and hard work of our executive committee, standing committees, and support of our members and patrons we accomplished some of our goals and held many events. I hope we can continue our efforts into the New Year and maintain and improve our club for the enjoyment of our members and our community in promoting our Polish culture and traditions as we grow close to our 80 th year in existence.
Please refer to our Schedule of Events for 2015 which is published on our website and a copy is available at the club. Attend the events, support your club and enjoy the entertainment as well as the good food provided by the kitchen staff.
Best Wishes and many of God’s Blessings to all in the New Year.
Mary Kiselus, President
1st VICE PRESIDENT – Kaz Tysiac
In January 2015 I will be starting my new position as 1 st Vice President and I am looking forward to the challenges ahead. The board members have scheduled some exciting events in the upcoming year. I would like to extend an invitation to all members (and their friends and family) to “ COME ON OVER” and meet the board members, say “hello” to old friends and make new friends too.
We will continue our efforts to reach out to members that are overdue with their dues and encourage new members to become an active part of our activities. Help us spread the word – we are here to encourage the growth of the Polish-American community as a part of the Pulaski Club.
Hope to see you at the next membership meeting on Jan. 18 th and stay for a meal prepared by our kitchen staff and enjoy the musical entertainment for the afternoon.
2nd VICE PRESIDENT – Halina Kosinski Happy New Year everyone!
It will be my privilege to be your 2nd VP for the next two years and as one of my responsibilities it is to be in charge of the kitchen and the menu. With the New Year we all have new resolutions, new commitments and we all hope to live up to them. Mine is to make our kitchen more efficient and organized and I will be needing much help from those of you who are inclined to roll up your sleeves and give up some of your free time to make it all happen by volunteering. That is our constant problem to motivate enough volunteers so that one or two people are not doing all the work.
I would like to create three kitchen teams so that we could alternate cooking for the upcoming events making it a pleasure rather than a chore and without having to sacrifice our personal life. All teams would be involved in preparing the buffet style dinners, again, to make it easier on everyone. I welcome new ideas, suggestions or offers of help. I'm looking to making your meals at Pulaski Club an experience and a pleasure
CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD “NEWS AND NOTES” David Bonczkiewicz
HAPPY NEW YEAR polka friends and fans!
We have a busy schedule set for this upcoming season. There will be some out of state bands coming and a few repairs that still need to be completed
Craig Ebel and DyVersaCo will be our first out of state band traveling from Minnesota to play at the Pulaski Club on Feb. 21 st and 22 nd (see activities column for all info).
The main repair project will be insulation of the roof, if anybody as a referral for us to use, please contact me. And once again as stated in a previous column of mine, the club needs to hire a bar manager if we want to stay afloat ….Looking for some help here.
See you soon. Cheers.
