February 2006
President's Corner:
Dear Members and Friends,
Please take the time to go over the By-Laws changes or modifications, which the Committee charged with that responsibility has prepared for us. The Executive Board had the opportunity to review these in detail and approved the copy which is sent to you. You will have all month of February to review them and we will vote, on them in our March meeting. If you consider these changes prior to the meeting than we can expedite the process of voting on them in March. So, please be kind to your fellow members and be prepared.
We are doing very well with the rentals and our cash reserve is slowly being replenished. We are receiving many compliments on the results of the remodeling from folks who are seeing it for the first time. The Executive Board of elected officers is grateful to you for your support and patience for the delays in the completion of all the work but we are still tinkering. The bar is not yet fully completed and some of the trim has to be installed. In addition Tom O’Loughlin with the help of Bob Jayo and a few others, is in the process of expending our storage space in the back of the bar. Tom O’Loughlin and Zenon Zawadzki removed the old sidewalk and poured a new and improved ramp up to the new front door. This will improve safety and access to all but especially those with wheel chairs or walkers. Thanks for your efforts gentlemen.
Frances Spychalski has taken over the duties of 2nd VP and taken charge of the kitchen with zeal. With the much improved lighting in the kitchen, making the environment much more conducive and pleasant and the new serving window furnished by Bruno Klus, the food looks and tastes just like mother used to make.
Don’t forget our Potato Pancake Dinner Dance on February 4th. I hope you get this Newsletter in time. Sam Pecorilla and David Bonczkiewicz and the Varitones will be entertaining us. Two bands for the price of one, folks. It doesn’t get any better than this and home made potato pancakes too. I, for one, will diet for two days before this event. Have a great February and support OUR Pulaski Club.
-Casimir "Case" Kosinski
