January 2004

President's Corner:

As February slowly approaches, it is hard to believe that we are in the midst of winter. Thankfully our weather this year has been warm and pleasant, so this has helped bring out our members to the two January dances we held. On Saturday January 3lst from 7PM to l2:30AM , Bruno Klus, member of our Board of Directors, will hold a special fund-raising dinner/dance at the clubhouse (at $25.00 per person) which we hope will be well supported and will jump-start our club's remodeling fund. Bruno will be doing all the cooking so we all know it will be delicious! Thank you Bruno for volunteering to take on this event. It is this kind of volunteerism that serves as an inspiration for the rest of us to add our talents and expertise toward helping our club thrive.

We are looking forward to a good turnout for our Sunday February 8th membership meeting and Valentine Sweetheart dance and also for the scheduled dinner/dance on Sunday February 22nd. We look forward to seeing all of you there.

Advance planning is now underway for our 65th anniversary celebration set for Sunday October 3, 2004. So far we have two members on the steering committee. They are Frances Spychalski (Phone # 623-878-6393) and Rose Pachura (Phone # 480-802-0775). They are busy seeking volunteers to help in various categories dealing with such matters as invitations, speakers, program, decorations, etc. Members please volunteer. We know we have many talented members among us and we truly need your help and input.

Reminder:

From the Publicity Committee - Dorothy Twarog: Correction!!! The current Pulaski Club website address is: www.geocities.com/pulaskiclubaz/webpage.html unfortunately, the shorter address (www.pulaskiclubaz.org) is not being maintained. This was the address appearing in all local newspaper announcements for the club. Until further notice, please use the longer website address as all the current activities and photo's are updated by David Bonczkiewicz.

The Pulaski Clubs 65th anniversary is October 3rd. Please start looking in your private photo collections for past activities, officers and early photo's of the building. We need these photos as soon as possible. They will be copied and returned to you. Please consider sharing memories with the membership.
