NOVEMBER 2006
*President’s Corner*
Dear Members and Friends,
November is Officer’s Election month, and our Nominating Committee is hard at work to get nominations for all positions. There is still time to enter your own name or to nominate someone who you feel could do a good job as one of our elected officers. Please contact John Twarog, Frank Kanios, or Chez Falkowski - our three Nominating Committee members.
Our Pulaski Day Dinner Dance was not as well attended as previous years, but the appreciative attendees enjoyed the fabulous three course dinner. The dinner was prepared by Bruno and Nela Klus and served by Frances Spychalski and her able volunteers. The music was provided by David Bonczkiewicz and the Varitones.
Please plan on attending the next meeting on November 12th at 12:30pm and help elect the next Executive Board, who will be serving a two-year term, as provided by our By-Laws.
Rose and Dennis Pachura and all the committees and volunteers are doing a wonderful job in organizing and preparing for our Fashion Show on November 4th starting at 11am. This is a fundraiser for the Pulaski Club, and I would like to thank everyone involved for their hard work and dedication.
Thanks to Carol and Norm Fritchie for getting the newsletter out each month and doing a great job at it. Your efforts are greatly appreciated.
Please continue to support our events as you have in the past. We need your support and your attendance. Thank you.
May you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday.
Casimir Kosinski, President

NEWS AND NOTES
by David Bonczkiewicz - NickelCity Dave
Well, well, well, sad to say we had a poor showing at the club for the month of October. What will it take to get you to the club? I have yet to figure it out myself. Could it be the entertainment? Could it be the meals served? Could it be the Polish Church functions? Could it be the Board members? November is election month for the Pulaski club. We are looking for new “talent” to add to the Board, and if you think you may have what it takes, come to the membership meeting and vote. Time to take an active role in your club. See you there………..
If you have questions about the club remodeling stages, please address all questions to Bruno Klus.
Don’t be scared, the club provides security for all rental events and most evening member events.
We voted last meeting to post the drink prices for our member events and all rental events. If you don’t see the board of prices posted, I think that the Board of Directors owe you a free drink!!
I am in the process of pricing glassware for the club. Over the past 6 active months, we have spent over $500.00 in plastic cups. I should have a price list for our next Board meeting.
I regret to inform you that "Na Zdrowie Restaurant" has closed the doors for good. I’m in search for another polka dance spot, stay tuned
This is a Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm humor:
Priest Retirement Speech: A priest was being honored at his retirement dinner after 25 years in the parish. A leading local politician and member of the congregation was chosen to make the presentation and give a little speech at the dinner. He was delayed, so the priest decided to say his own few words while they waited. "I got my first impression of the parish from the first confession I heard here. I thought I had been assigned to a terrible place. The very first person who entered my confessional told me he had stolen a television set and, when stopped by the police, had almost murdered the officer. He had stolen money from his parents, embezzled from his place of business, had an affair with his boss' wife, taken illegal drugs, and gave VD to his sister. I was appalled. But as the days went on, I knew that my people were not all like that; and I had, indeed, come to a fine parish full of good and loving people." Just as the priest finished his talk, the politician arrived full of apologies at being late. He immediately began to make the presentation and give his talk "I'll never forget the first day our parish priest arrived," said the politician. "In fact, I had the honor of being the first one to go to him in confession." Moral: DON'T EVER BE LATE.
Thanks, Caz the Prez, for the new White Eagle newspaper stand.
BAR STANDERS-Water? I hardly Ever Drank Her: The three most important ingredients in beating a hangover are water, water, and water. Sure you can drink a glass before you go to bed and a glass when you wake up, but what about those precious hours you’re still asleep? Hire a friend to force drink you as you dream about drowning. You may wake up with a wet pillow, but not with a headache!
“MEMBERS RAFFLE” is in full swing; remember you must be present to win a drawing. A name will be picked during the meeting; if no winner, the name goes back in the hat till the next meeting. $$$GOOD$$$LUCK$$$30.00$$$.
